2018 SE-WYO-CX race #3 recap

Fun in the sun ... I mean cold and wind!
A hearty group of 34 --- yes 34 riders turned out in cold and blustery conditions to take part in the SE WYO CX race #3 in Laramie, WY on sunday 11/4/18.
Not only did Laramie and Cheyenne turn out in force with 16 and 11 riders respectively, with Laramie reclaiming the coveted SE WYO CX Cowbell traveling trophy, we saw a number of front range riders show up to race and enjoy the Gem City.
Local speedgoat and jr cycling phenom Tristin Smith (Dad --- what are you feeding him?!?) went solo from the gun and never looked back winning the event, completing seven laps and lapping almost the entire field minus the top 4 finishers.  Local riders Tyler Kjorstad and Felix Naschold battled for the remaining podium places with Tyler taking 2nd place and felix finishing in 3rd.  Another speed goat - Sam Fay showed that a mountain bike can be competative in CX by finishing 4t h and cementing a Laramie sweep of the top positions

2nd Tyler Kjorstad
3rd - Felix Naschold
4th Sam Fay
5th - Jim Fahling - Cheyenne
